(CHICAGO - January 25, 2007) - If you are on a bowling team with Tom Jefferson or live next door to Jerry (or Geri) Ford, you might want to pass along a unique offer from Airport Express.
The ground transportation company will honor President's Day, February 19, by offering a free ride to and/or from the airport for travelers with the first and last name of an American President. Passengers with presidential monikers will need to give Airport Express drivers a business card or a copy of a driver's license or state ID to prove their legal name.
"Sharing your name with a celebrity opens the door to a lot of ribbing. We think it should go with a few perks as well," says John C. McCarthy, president of Continental Airport Express.
Customers who do not have presidential namesakes are still invited to enjoy a "presidential" travel experience by signing up for the Preferred Rider program. These special customers will instantly receive $250 in GroundNet reward dollars, which provides great values and travel-related discounts worldwide.
Founded in 1853 as the Parmelee Transportation Company, Continental Airport Express currently transports more than one million passengers annually to and from Chicago's O'Hare and Midway Airports. Its services are offered to and from downtown Chicago, as well as most Chicago neighborhoods and its surrounding suburbs. For more information visit www.airportexpress.com.
