Travel News: Chicago Travelers Have Option for Inexpensive Airport Transportation
For Immediate Release: Chicago (May 9, 2011) —
GO Airport Express has launched Value Van, a new airport shuttle service that offers one low rate for transportation to O’Hare and Midway airports from designated locations in downtown Chicago. One-way fares to O’Hare and Midway are 14 and 12 dollars per person, respectively.
To date, locations include Presidential Towers at 555. W. Madison and the AON Center at 200 E. Randolph, with several more sites planned for the near future.
“There are several thousand residents in our building who will definitely benefit from Value Van,” says Phyllis Kempton, senior community manager for Presidential Towers. “You really can’t beat the convenience, service and price.”
“We assessed our operations and developed a way to efficiently service these densely populated areas and provide passengers with our standard high quality, safe and convenient transportation ultra-affordable rates. This is an attractive option for those living or working in or near the designated buildings,” says Rob Hann, vice president, sales and marketing, GO Airport Express.
Departures from the sites will occur every half hour by reservation and are available from 4 a.m. through 11:30 p.m. No more than two additional stops will be made, and passengers can earn airline miles and free rides via the company’s Preferred Rider Program. Reservations to secure space to and from the airports can be made online at www.airportexpress.com/valuevan or by calling 1.888.2theVan. Walk ups at the airports will be accommodated based on availability.
The company will continue to provide its door-to-door services in downtown Chicago, its surrounding neighborhoods and most suburbs.
Founded in 1853 as the Parmelee Transportation Company, GO Airport Express currently transports more than one million passengers annually to and from Chicago’s O’Hare and Midway Airports. It is also a founding member for GO Group, LLC., offering transportation in airports worldwide. For more information or to book transportation online visit www.airportexpress.com.
